Aaron’s research interests focus around developing user friendly interactive mapping applications for the web.  Drawing from his academic experiences in media production, cultural studies, physics, and environmental impact assessment, Aaron seeks to design effective and informative geographic visualizations that are intuitive and enjoyable to use.  Currently, he is especially interested in offering a more “synesthesiastic” experience to maps – specifically by incorporating sound and time to what is a traditionally visual and atemporal experience.
