Fenwick McKelvey is an Assistant Professor of Information and Communication Technology Policy in the Department of Communication Studies at Concordia University. He brings to the lab an expertise in the computational routines or algorithms embedded in communication media such as advanced Internet routing algorithms and the platforms of social media. His research has focused on how algorithm enact systems of social control and how software facilitate new form of participatory research of digital media. Fenwick explores these themes at the lab as well working with students who share an interest in the politics and policy issues of mobile media.
